Brightly Gleaming Christmas - Inspire Create Challenge #052

This time the Inspire Create Challenge is all about colour. I love a colour challenge because it's sometimes colours I wouldn't think to put together just like these.

Both Melon Mambo and  Gorgeous Grape are beautiful and bright colours, as is the Coastal Cabana. I wanted to use them in a way that meant they wouldn't be fighting with each other so I pulled out the brand new Brightly Gleaming stamp set and Punches using Silver Embossing as a neutral background. I love it! I think it worked really well. It's the first time I've used this bundle and I've fallen in love with it.

I stamped and silver embossed the baubles onto Whisper White before colouring in with Stampin Write Markers and punching out.
I

The holly leaves are from the same set. Stamped and embossed to make a background and the baubles adhered on the front and raised with Dimensionals to create depth. I punched holes in the tops of the baubles and added some Silver Metallic Thread.

I've simply added a Whisper White layer and stamped the inside.

These colours work really well for non-traditional Christmas card colours, don't they?

I hope you like it. Do let me know in the comments.

Coffee And Cards - Rooted In Nature

Hand made thank you card using the Rooted In Nature stamp set from Stampin Up for Coffee and Cards.

I reached for the Rooted In Nature stamp set for Coffee and Cards this week.  It's felt a lot cooler here over the last couple of days. Autumn is definitely on the way, perhaps that's why I picked it. We all need thank you cards too, I know I do. I love the images in this set and particularly the leaves

The sentiment from the set makes a great thank you card but it could just as easily be a birthday card and the colours would make it a perfect one for the men.

It's Snowman Season!

I am so excited to be part of Kylie Bertucci's September Blog Hop! We are an international group of demonstrators all working towards growing our businesses and sharing ideas and inspiration along the way.  Thank you so much for joining us!

Snowman Christmas card using the Snowman Seasons stampset and punch from Stampin Up, with Shimmery Crystal Effects, Snowflake Sequins and the Let It Snow Speciality Designer Series Paper and the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit.

How fun is this snowman!? Absolutely no apologies for a snowy Christmas card at the beginning of September. Our new Christmas catalogue launched just a few days ago and I love it!  One of the best things about this job is getting hold of new products early, and playing with them so we can show you, and in turn, you can get your goodies in time for fun stress-free Christmas crafting.

I added him inside and added some snow too. This sentiment is just lovely too don't you think?

This gorgeous snowman is from the Let It Snow stamp set. It has lots of different snowmen images in it and has a matching punch for this one. I've used it here and raised the snowman up to give him some dimension. I've stamped and punched him out again and then used my scissors to cut him up before arranging him to look like a fallen down snowman - he doesn't look too bothered This cracks me up! The snowman punch is a builder punch and you can punch out the arms as I've done here and you can punch out his carrot nose too.

His scarf and hat are from the coordinating Let It Snow Embellishment Kit. I've used the "coal" for his buttons. You get arms and buttons as well as little snowballs, silver washi tape and heaps of scarves and hats too.

And a bonus, the punch cuts out one of the snowmen in the matching Let It Snow Speciality Designer Series Papers too!

I'm not sure if you can tell in the pic but I have used some of the Shimmery Crystal Effects to colour in their carrot noses, I've added some of the new snowflake sequins dotted all around and the White Polka Dot Tuille ribbon to add to the snowy frosty feel. The snowflake sequins are tiny and beautiful and I love them! Be prepared to see them all over everything! Who needs snow when you have these 😂

I do hope you like this fun card. You can start or continue hopping around here for a ton of inspiration, so grab a cuppa, and enjoy!

Sympathy Card - Bloom And Grow

Sympathy card in Petal Pink and Whisper White .For the Inspire Create Stamping Challenge. For the Inspire Create Stamping Challenge.made using the Bloom and Grow stamp set and dies from Stampin' Up! With Petal Pink ribbon. Hand made card using all supplies from Stampin Up, available in my online shop at http://inkstampshare.ink.

The theme is Sympathy cards this time for the Inspire Create Challenge. I decided to use the gorgeous Bloom And Grow stamps and dies and paired it with the Sympathy die from the Well Written die set. I used the delicate colours of Petal Pink and Whisper White with just a little Old Olive. The ribbon in Petal Pink finishes it off.

Creating a sympathy card is not an occasion any of us want to have to make and give but giving a card is such a comfort, to tell that person that you are thinking of them and you are there for them.

I hope you like it. Do let me know in the comments.

Happy Birthday Card. Bird Ballad. Inspire Create Challenge #50!

Birthday card made using the Bird Ballad Designer Series Papers and the Free As A Bird stamp set, Hand made card. Stampin Up! by Kate Bolt, Inkstampshare

For the Inspire Create Challenge, we have a sketch challenge this time! I've been itching to play with the Free As A Bird stamps and the gorgeous Bird Ballad Designer Series papers that go with them.

I used a little artistic license and changed the layout from portrait to landscape but other than that kept to the sketch. This birthday card is going to a friend who shares the month of August as our birthday month. I hope she loves it, there's nothing quite like a hand made card in the post💕

It was pretty easy to make. I love the colours in the papers and the feathers are one of my favourites. I stamped the birds on a branch image in Memento Black on a strip of Whisper White the same width as the DSP layer and coloured them with Blends. The colours I used are Crumb Cake, Light Coastal Cabana and Petal Pink. I coloured the leaves in Light Old Olive and the flowers in Light PoolParty. The alcohol Blend pens are my absolute favourite at the moment for colouring, they blend so well.

I stamped the birds on a branch image again and cut it out using one of the stitched circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I coloured it in and layered it using a couple of Dimensional foam pads. I used the Well Written Dies to create the Happy Birthday. I cut them out in Crumb Cake and Pool Party, sandwiched together a little offset to make it pop.

The gorgeous scalloped edge lace ribbon is beautiful, it's part of the Suite too. I stamped the birds inside too. You can just see it here.

I added a few of the Basic Rhinestones and it was done.
I hope you like it. Do let me know in the comments.

Glad We're Friends! - Inspire Create Challenge #49

How cute is this little fella?! It was International Friendship Day last week, did you know? nor me!  I was very lucky to receive a beautiful hand made card from a friend who is also one of my team. There's nothing like getting an unexpected card is there? So this one's for her.

Card for International Friendship day using the Fable Friend stamp set and Glad we're friends for the Inspire Create Challenge #49

This time the Inspire Create Challenge is all about colour.  I love a colour challenge because it's sometimes colours I wouldn't think to put together or to use colours I don't seem to use very often which is definitely the case here with Mango Melody. I love it!

Fable Friends stamps set including rabbit image. Stampin Up

At first glance, this stamp set shouts New Baby, Easter, and Spring but it's really versatile and has this lovely "glad we're friends" sentiment too.

Card for International Friendship day using the Fable Friend stamp set and Glad we're friends for the Inspire Create Challenge #49

How It's Made

The card base is Mango Melody card 10.5 x 14.9 cm
Pool Party layer 10 x 14.3 cm
Whisper White layer 9.5 x 13.8 cm

I stamped the rabbit in Memento Black ink and lightly coloured him in using a Basic Gray Watercolour pencil and a Blender pen.
His jacket is coloured in using a Mango Melody Stampin Write Marker.
The flower was stamped and fussy cut out and coloured using a Light Pool Party Blend
I stamped another rabbit image on a scrap of card and cut the hands out which I glued on after tucking the flower behind so that he "holds" it.
Two stitched rectangles are cut from Whisper White card, and the stamping of the flowers was done and coloured in with Pool Party and Mango Melody before raising on the double-sided adhesive foam strips.
The sentiment is stamped in Mango Melody ink.
I used the background flower stamp from the Bloom and Grow stamp set or you could use any you have in your stash.

This card is perfect to send to my friend, it says it all. I hope you like it. Do let me know in the comments.
