Secret Shutter Card - This One Is Perfect For The Men!

I love a card that has a little more to it so I thought I would make a gatefold shutter card. I've included a YouTube tutorial and a list of dimensions so that you can try it out too.

Gatefold Shutter Card Using the Sail Away Bundle Stampin Up!

I wanted to make a masculine card so I reached for the new Come Sail Away Suite. It has gorgeous papers, stamps, and dies, plus cute little nautical embellishments and bakers twine. Lots of elements to play with! This one is a congratulations card. Just right for this time of the year with lots of exams going on but it would work beautifully for any occasion.

See how it opens here

The first time I saw this type of card, I loved the element of surprise as you open the card and the shutter opens to reveal the hidden message inside.

hand made card that says Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.

I really needed a card of encouragement for my and so this is perfect for our sketch challenge, I wanted my card to be clean so decided to keep to all white with a splash of Night Of Navy and Daffodil Delight.

I used the aptly named Oh My Stars Embossing Folder on my first layer of Whisper White card.

hand made card that says Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.

And added another panel of Whisper White on top, embossed using the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love the really subtle grain texture it gives. I made another one - You are my sunshine. I pulled out the Daffodil Delight and Basic Grey for this one. The perfect excuse to use some of the gorgeous Daffodil delight Ribbon.

Here is my you Tube Tutorial showing how I made them .

Every Sunday I will be bringing you a new project from Saleabration as we craft our way into Spring!

This week we have Epic Celebrations!

I love the images in this stamp set. Perfect for teenagers or young adults. Anyone really as I live in my Converses too!

My card base is Whisper White A4 cut at 14.8 cm and scored at 10.5 cm. My layer is Night of Navy cut just half a cm smaller at 14.3 cm x 10 cm. The next layer I have used for stamping is again Whisper White (the best there is to stamp on!- if you haven't already, then you should try it). This layer is 13.8 cm x 9.5 cm. I have used the sentiment from Picture Perfect Party stamps. I love this font!

You can see on my You Tube video here how I made the card.

I hope you like the video, please give me a thumbs up and click subscribe for future videos too!

I have made two versions of the card. The other one has the base made from Night of Navy card stock and has just the shoes. Which is your favourite?

I chose to use "You're Awesome" inside.

I love this quick and simple card. I used the Blends alcohol Markers to colour in the images. I love these markers, I can see myself making lots of these cards! If you would like to purchase the whole set of blends but would like to stagger the cost have a look at my Blends Club in the menu bar at the top. It may be perfect for you.

I really hope you like this stamp set. I love and even better it is Free!
