Good Morning Magnolia Fancy Fold Card - Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

I am so excited to be part of the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop and very honoured to be in amongst some very talented stampers from around the world! If you are starting here or continuing to hop, hello and welcome to my blog. 

For our hop this month the theme is Fancy Folds florals and the perfect excuse to pull out this gorgeous brand new bundle Good Morning Magnolia

How stunning is this large Magnolia stamp?! I have stamped it in Black Memento and coloured in with Blend Markers, Petal Pink with a tiny bit of Flirty Flamingo at the base of the petals. The tips I have left white and the leaves are coloured in Mossy Meadow.

So how is it a Fancy Fold card?

A Z Fold card is actually quite simple to construct.

With lots of panels for stamping and creativity. The small magnolias here were stamped and coloured just like the large one but there are two on the panel that says "Thinking of You" that stand out a little. That's because they are cut out of the patterned paper that goes with this bundle using the matching die! How cool is that!

Before the scored base layers were glued together I stamped the large magnolia in Mossy Meadow ink onto the back so that there is detail from each angle.

Hope Your Day Is Amazing As You! - Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

I am so excited to be part of the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop and very honoured to be in amongst some very talented stampers from around the world! If you are starting here or continuing to hop, hello and welcome to my blog. 

For our hop this month the theme is springtime florals and the perfect excuse to use the beautiful All that You Are stamps. 

I made this card for my lovely mum for Mothers day at the end of last month, the sentiment was perfect and I love this flower.

No apologies for the blatent repeated use of this stamp set! I love it.

The colours I have used are Calypso Coral and Old Olive. The flower is stamped in Memento Black and I have used the Blend pens to colour it in. The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto Whisper White and cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.

The card base is Thick Whisper White with a layer of Calypso Coral and Whisper White to stamp on. I added some Old Olive Ribbon to finish it off.

It was very easy to make the envelope match beautifully too. I stamped the flower again off the side of the envelope and coloured it in with the Blend Pens.  Tip  - Whilst colouring in the envelope tuck a piece of card inside to stop the marker bleeding through, and remove it when you are done.

Coffee And Cards - Tuscan Vineyard

Tuscan Vineyard is one of those stamp sets that I had always flicked past in the catalogue, not really thinking about it too much. It didn't really jump out at me at all. And then last week, one of the ladies at Coffee and Cards brought hers along and said " could we do something with this, one week?" Coffee and Cards is a simple (but beautiful), one layer card. So, I took it away with me and  after having a small play this was the card I came up with.

The little Tuscan Vineyard scene is lovely! And it lends itself beautifully to being coloured in with Stampin Blends alcohol markers. I stamped the image in Basic Grey before colouring in. The olive branches are stamped around the outside in Old Olive and blended with a blender pen to give them more depth.

I have stamped "celebrate" from another stamp set, Beautiful You in Old Olive on a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with one of my favourites, the Classic Label Punch. I've raised it a few mini Dimensionals.

We get so much creativity at Coffee and Cards. This one has the grape vine stamped on to it and coloured with a Stampin Write Marker and blender pen. She has also added a sentiment "Just a note" This stamp came from the Soft Sayings card kit.

I stamped inside the card in Crumb Cake and again used a blender pen.

  I have lots of ideas in mind now, how it could be used. Sometimes you just have to play! 

One of my other ladies at Coffee and Cards also owns this stamp set and made me a beautiful birthday card with it last month.

How clever! I love it. It's sitting on my craft room shelf.

Just stamps, ink and paper

These stamps also have a matching die set that cuts out all the gorgeous images and make lovely cards. You can, however make gorgeous cards with this set as a stand alone.

This card, I used Coastal Cabana card , stamped in Smoky Slate and then used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party Blend Pens to colour the wings giving a beautiful delicate finish.

This card I used a Calypso Coral layer instead.

The background is made using the spotty stamp. I have used Soft Sea Foam stamped off and a little Coastal Cabana stamped off twice.  It gives an impression of water behind the dragonfly.

I hope you like it and I hope I have inspired you to make some cards using just stamps, ink and paper. You don't have to have lots of equipment to make a beautiful card,

Sale-a-bration Sunday Spring Time Colours!

Woohoo! It's time for Sale-a-bration Sunday!  This week I am using the stunning Springtime Foils Papers with colour.

  These Springtime Foils Papers are free with Saleabration until March 31st.

Saleabration runs for 12 weeks until March 31st which takes it right up to British Summer Time on March 25th marked by the clocks going forward bringing in the lighter evenings. I am SO looking forward to that but in the mean time we can craft the winter away. Win/Win!

I got my delivery of these papers this week and I couldn't wait to have a play! They are foiled with silver, gold and rose gold and lend themselves beautifully to all sorts of colouring techniques. 

The Springtime Foils papers are 12 x 12, come in a pack of 12. There are 4 designs. 3of each. They are a heavyweight, more like card stock. Great for cards and perfect for boxes and tags too.

This is such a simple card to put together. I have coloured the petals of the rose in this one using the Blushing Bride Blends Markers in Dark and Light shades and the leaves in Old Olive Dark and Light shades.

This one, I have coloured in using the Stampin Write Markers in Blushing Bride and Old Olive.You can see the difference between the Blends and the Stampin Write Markers. I'm not sure which I like the most. What do you think?

The Celebrate is cut out of Silver Foil card and the You cut out of Powder Pink as is used for my card base. These dies are gorgeous and they are part of a set that is also free with Saleabration.
