Inspire Create Stamping Challenge #030

This time on the Inspire Create Stamping Challenge our theme is Thankful. This came at the perfect time as whilst I have a lot of reasons to be thankful, I needed an extra special thank you card to give out to one of my team who helped run my all day Christmas craft event last week. I have such a lovely team!

I am in love with Copper this season. It seems to go so perfectly with Merry Merlot and Garden Green to give that lovely, cosy Autumn feeling and whilst we don't celebrate thanksgiving in the UK, it feels right to have autumn leaves on my thank you cards at this time of the year.

I wanted my leaf to have a "frosty" feel to it and still keep the warmth of the copper. Who knew you could heat emboss onto Foil Card!  I took my inspiration for my card from one I saw on Pinterest by a Stampin Up Demonstrator called Bj Peters and changed it up to suit what I was after. I chose to emboss in Silver and I love the effect!  

I added some of the gorgeous Merry Merlot/Copper Ribbon along the top of my card to tie in the colours and of course because I love it!

I wanted a "clean" look to the card and a simple Thank you on the front. The sentiments are taken from a stamp set called Fabulous Flamingo . You could use any you have in your stash of course.

Inspire Create Stamping Challenge #028 

We have a colour challenge  this time for Inspire Create Stamping Challenge#028

Such a beautiful Autumnal palette, which is definitely starting to show around here. We've even had a tiny touch of frost! 

I pulled out card stock in all the colours in the challenge. Lovely Lipstick, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral and Sahara Sand and die cut leaves using the Layering Seasons Dies.  

These Dies coordinate with the Colourful Seasons stamp set and covers all 4  seasons.

Lots of die cutting. They are going to be made into this month's customer thank you cards.

How I made it.

The card base is Whisper White. I have used new the Climbing Vines Embossing Folder with Pear Pizazz card for the layer. I have then layered all the die cut leaves using liquid glue and dimensionals. The Thank You sentiment is taken from the Love What You Do stamp set and stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink on Whisper White.

Have you seen our new sprig punch in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue? I have just got mine and couldn't wait to use it. I have used it with some silver and white Glimmer paper to add a touch of frost. I have added Clear Wink Of Stella to the leaves to for some added sparkle.

Coffee and Cards - Lovely As A Tree

Coffee And Cards - Lovely as A Tree!

We have had some beautifully sunny days this week but the weather is definitely changing, so I brought Lovely As A Tree along to Coffee And Cards this week.

This stamp set is such a favourite, it has been part of Stampin Up for so many years. It is so loved, it's rumoured that it will never be retired!  It's a great stamp set for all the seasons too.

 I love when the leaves start to change don't you. So I chose the earthy tones from the neutrals collection for my card base and layer. The Oak tree is stamped in Black Memento . I created a mask to sponge the yellow sun in Daffodil Delight by using a small circle punch in a scrap of paper. I then used Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz inks with a sponge to lay down the colour onto the card. The tree is coloured in with an Old Olive Stampin Blend and a little Daffodil Delight ink sponged over the top.

I added some of Stampin' Up's gorgeous Burlap Ribbon and stamped a thank you from the Bunch Of Banners stamp set that coordinates so well with the classic label punch too.

We had great fun creating these cards today. There may have been some Ginger Cookies and Tea Cakes consumed too, along with the great coffee that the Coffee shop have.

They made a beautiful job of the cards didn't they!  There are some beautiful images in this set and I'm sure I will be using those at Coffee and Cards in the future.
