Let's Celebrate You! - Birthday Blooms

I have just taken delivery of the gorgeous Bloom And Grow Bundle, which is perfect timing for this week's  Inspire Create Challenge. 💕

Birthday Card with stamped and embossed flowers from the Bloom and Grow stamp from Stampin Up water coloured in Lovely Lipstick and Mossy Meadow

Just how beautiful is this stamp set? The "Let's Celebrate You "sentiment is perfect for the birthday theme and the font is gorgeous!

I just love these flowers - they remind me of Dog Roses and were just begging to be watercoloured.

Bloom and Grow stamp set and Dies from Stampin Up

Lots of gorgeous images with the matching dies. I love that you can stamp out the different leaves, die-cut them and build your bouquet. Don't forget, if you purchase the stamps and dies together as a bundle you save 10% and also qualifies for Bonus Days too.   For every £45 you spend this month you get a voucher for  £4.50 off an order next month.

I stamped in the flowers on some Whisper White in Versamark and heat embossed in Silver and then water coloured using the ink from an ink pad and an aquapainter. I experimented a little before settling on Lovely Lipstick and Mossy Meadow. I carried on the Lovely Lipstick in the matching ribbon. What do you think?

I hope you like my card, it's always lovely to give some beautiful blooms on a birthday.

Good Morning Magnolia Wedding Acceptance. Inspire Create Challenge #45

Hello, welcome to my blog. I am just loving the new catalogue that has just launched and specifically the Magnolia Lane Suite. It's beautiful and with this week bringing us an embossing theme for the Inspire Create Challenge I couldn't resist using the Magnolia stamps.

Good Morning Magnolia . Wedding acceptance card. Silver embossed magnolias on crumb cake

Aren't they stunning, I took inspiration from the Kraft Magnolia Lane cards we have. They come with silver frames and wouldn't work for what I wanted so I recreated the idea with Crumb Cake card instead. I added a Petal Pink Layer underneath and used one of the dies to make a pretty border at the bottom in Petal Pink also.

My hubby is very excited to have been asked to be best man for a dear friend later in the summer and I'm also excited to be going. Maybe a new hat is in order! I've made this card for them to accept and say thank you for the invitation to their wedding. I hope they like it.

Heat embossing is totally my thing. I just love to see the powder melt and go all glossy. It was one of the first techniques I used years ago when I first started crafting and it never gets old. The small magnolia stamp is just stunning embossed in silver. Quite an easy card to make really. A few layers of card, some embossing and a Thanks sentiment with a little of the beautiful new ribbon to finish it off. I LOVE this font! I hope you like the card. Do leave me a comment, I love to read them.

You can hop over to the Inspire Create Challenge here and see what all the other awesome Design Team members have come up with for the Embossing Challenge. You can get lots of inspiration and join along too. We'd love to have you and it's great fun.

Here are all the products I have used on my card, including the gorgeous Magnolia stamps. Clickable images will take you straight to my online shop.

I am of course, very grateful if you choose me to be your demonstrator and you shop with me. If you shop with me online, don't forget to use the hostess code if your order is between £20 - £150 for a gift from me.

Goodbye Little Bee! Dragonfly Dreams.

Dragonfly Dreams #simplestamping Card using the Bee from Dragonfly Dreams.

Ink, stamps and paper, that's it, all you need to create a card. Stampin' Up issue us a challenge each month to create a card using just those three elements to show that you don't need to own everything to create a beautiful hand made card and that stamping is accessible to everyone, including brand new stampers. #simplestamping Challenge

The May challenge is to use one of your favourite retiring stamp sets, so of course I had to pull out Dragonfly Dreams and use the gorgeous little bee stamp. This little guy has appeared on many of my cards.

Dragonfly Dreams #simplestamping Card using the Bee from Dragonfly Dreams.

For my simple stamping challenge I used the dots stamp with Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay ink - both stamped off first. I stamped the bee on top twice in Black Memento ink and the sentiment in Bermuda Bay. I stamped the sentiment and the bees inside the card in Black Memento ink and added a stamped bee to the envelope to finish it off. But there's more ...

This is a slightly stepped up version of the card, more aimed at the casual crafter rather than the  beginner. The bees are heat embossed using Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder and the sentiment is stamped on Whisper White and raised on Dimensionals with some Copper Metallic Thread behind to finish it off.

Each of the cards is made using a 4"x4" card and a 3 3/4" square layer.

I have used the matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit dies for this card which is stepped up again and is more a card for the avid crafter, someone who has a Big Shot in their arsenal, giving them further scope to play.

Here is the You Tube Tutorial showing how I made it.

I hope you like the video, do give me a thumbs up and subscribe if you do. Don't forget to press the little bell for notification of future videos.

You can see how I used this stamp set in previous projects here, here, here, here, here, and here. Such a gorgeous set, it's only available until the end of the month or whilst stocks last so don't leave it too late.

Dandelion Wishes - A Note For You

Dandelion Wishes - A Note For You

Inspire Create Challenge #040

This week for the Inspire Create Challenge we have a colour theme of Black and White.

Hand made card using the Dandelion Wishes stamp set in Black and White with Silver embossing.

I wanted a clean and simple card and I thought the Dandelion Wishes stamp set would be perfect for it.  I stamped it in Black to begin with but I felt there was something missing. I decided to stamp and emboss in Silver to compliment the monochrome without adding extra colour.

I added the "a note for you" from the Eastern palace stamp set in Black.  I wanted to see how the curve in the stamp would look like under the dandelion head. I love it! And I love the font in this stamp set too.

Just a simple card but very pretty, I added some of the black satin Ribbon to finish it off and tied a knot . I stamped dandelions inside the card and on the envelope too.

I hope you like it. You can see what the rest of the talented Design Team came up with for this challenge over at the Inspire Create Challenge #40 here. You can see all the entries and play along too. We'd love to have you!

Here are all the products I used for my card with clickable links to my online shop.

I am so excited to be part of Kylie Bertucci's February Blog Hop! We are an international group of demonstrators all working towards growing our business's and sharing ideas and inspiration along the way.  Thank you so much for joining us !

You may be starting here or have come from another blog. The list is at the end of the post do you can hop along from blog to blog getting lots of ideas and inspiration as you go.

Card with heat embossing on Vellum - stained glass technique.

I've been playing with the new All That You Are stamp set and I just love it. This was one of the cards I designed for my all day craft day yesterday.

I wanted to show them how by heat embossing the flower image in White Emboss Powder and colouring in on the reverse with the Stampin' Blends it's easy to create a beautiful image. A little like stained glass.  I added a few of the self adhesive sequins and attached the vellum to the Whisper White layer using glue dots strategically placed under the sequins and sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Black Memento and cut out using the new Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I've just got mine and can't put them down!

Card inside. Hand stamped.

I used Powder Pink as the card base and stamped inside in Powder Pink and Soft Sea Foam ink. I repeated the stamping on the envelope too.

Dimensions

Card Base - A4 Powder Pink, Scored at 10.5 cm and cut at 14.9 cm
Whisper White Layer 10 cm x 14.3 cm
Vellum 10 cm x 14.3 cm
Inside Whisper White Layer 10cm x 14.3 cm

I do hope you like my card. You can start or continue hopping around here, so grab a cuppa, and enjoy!
