Inspire Create Stamping Challenge #41

 I love a sketch. They make a great starting point for creating a card so I was very happy to see this week was sketch challenge for the Inspire Create Stamping Challenge #041

I love the All My Love Designer Series Papers so much and this sketch gave me the perfect chance to use them. 

I picked out the colours in the papers and used the matching card for the card base, and layers. Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick and Soft Seafoam. I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday Party stamp set in Lovely Lipstick. I just love how Stampin' Up make it so easy with matching card, ink, papers and embellishments. I added a few enamel dots in Lovely Lipstick to finish it off.

I stamped the inside of the card in Lovely Lipstick, using the same stamp set.I love this mix of fonts.

All My Love Papers And The Daisy Punch

I picked up this lovely candle at the shops recently. It's elderflower and prosecco and it smells heavenly. What really drew me to it were the gorgeous spring colours on it's pretty tin and I knew I wanted to make a box to gift it in. 

I wanted to make the box to fit the candle. For someone who is not great at maths, I was surprised at how easy this actually was!!

Flirty Flamingo Card 11 1/2" x 9 1/2"

Score with long side at the top at 2 3/4", 5 1/2", 8 1/4" and 11"

Score with the short side at the top at 2 3/4", 6 1/4" and 9"

I added the daisy using Flirty Flamingo card using the Daisy Punch to the box top and finished it off with a Gold Faceted Gem as a nod to the beautiful pink and gold candle tin inside. I tried a couple of other similar size candles in glass jars and they all fit, so I am sure you could find one to fit too.

Inspire.Create.Challenges #004 Colour Callenge!

This week for the Inspire Creates Challenge we have a Colour Challenge.

Such a pretty colour combination and perfect for a wintery feel. 

I love Christmas cards in blues and pinks. They make a nice change from the traditional reds and greens of Christmas. I have used the beautiful Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper from the Autumn/Winter Stampin' Up! Catalogue. It's foiled in silver and gold, this piece with snowflakes. I sponged Soft Sky, Flirty Flamingo and Island Indigo softly across the paper. The foiling creates an emboss resist effect allowing the beautiful snowflakes to shine through.

The card base is in Island Indigo with a layer of Soft Sky under the Speciality DSP.  I have stamped the sentiment Merry and Bright from the Hearts Come Home stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White  and cut out using an oval from the Stitched Shape dies. I layered it using Dimensionals onto a scalloped oval in Soft Sky cut with the Layering Oval dies. I have looped some of the Silver Metalic Thread between the layers using the dimensionals to secure it.  I really love the ombre ribbons. They are so beautiful and in Island Indigo just had to use it on this card.

The Snowflakes are cut out from the Seasonal Layers dies. I love these dies, they have something for every season included. I used Soft Sky and Flirty Flamingo card scraps to cut them out. I have added a few of the rhinestones for a little sparkle.

The inside sentiment is taken from the Hearts Come Home stamp set and the snowflakes from the Colourful Season stamps.
