Incredibly Proud Of You ! - Kylie's International Blog Highlights

Thanks for coming to my blog today. I am so happy to be taking part in Kylie Bertucci's blog highlights.

Daisy Delight, Daisy card.Incredibly Proud Of You. Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights

This is a monthly card challenge and you get to chose the winners! There are lots of creative people from around the world taking part and a ton of inspiration.

The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop together later in the month. It would be great to be part of it, and would love if you would vote for me.  You can vote here

The theme we have is encouragement, this sentiment from the Incredible Like You stamp set says it all!  I've teamed it up with the Daisy Delight stamp set. The large daisy is gorgeous but I feel some of the smaller images in this set are often overlooked and just as beautiful.

The flower head is stamped in Memento Black.   The inside of the flower head is stamped in Daffodil  Delight with a little Crushed Curry ink added to the stamp using a sponge dauber before stamping.  I used the dauber with a little Crushed Curry Ink around the head of the flower to give the impression of a warm haze. Use a very light hand for this but I like the effect.

The "Incredibly Proud Of You" is stamped in Smokey Slate onto Whisper White and cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I've tucked a little of the Gold metallic thread behind to make it pop and some Granny Apple Green Ribbon with a simple knot to finish it off

This was one of the cards I made for my May card class. All three used a combination of Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Granny Apple Green.

Dimensions

Card Base: Thick Whisper White. A4 card scored at 10.5 cm, cut in half at 14.9 cm
Layer: Smokey Slate card 10cm x 14.3 cm
Layer: Whisper White 9.5 cm x 13.9 cm

We always end the class with an easy one, but I love it's clean and simple look.

Please take a second to vote for me in this challenge. I would love to be part of the top ten winners International Blog Hop. You can have a look at all the entries, get lots of inspiration and  vote for me here. So grab a cuppa and enjoy.

Coffee And Cards - Using Your DSP

Coffee And Cards - Using Your DSP

Handmade card using the Incredible Like You Stamp set and the Share What You Love DSP. Coffee and Cards.

Do you have a stash of Designer Series Papers? (DSP). Do you use it for your cards and scrapbooking?, Do you cut it up and use it or do you love it so much, you stash it away until you have a "worthy" use for it?

So I brought a pack of the gorgeous Share What You Love DSP to Coffee and Cards this week to share the love of cutting up our DSP and getting it used to make some beautiful cards.

Handmade card using the Incredible Like You Stamp set and the Share What You Love DSP. Coffee and Cards.

O K here are a few reasons that might help liberate that pretty paper you've been saving.
Paper trends change. It dates. So that paper you fell in love with a while ago - you may find you don't love it as much as you did at the time!  Also, that beautiful paper is only beautiful if you can see it. It's not so lovely stashed away in a drawer. Oh and thirdly, It is one of the least expensive parts of your stash. If you use it up, guess what - you can buy another pack. But if you don't use it and you see some more pretty paper you would like, you might think, oh no, I can't buy that, I haven't used what I already have. You still won't use your stash and you wont buy any more, just feel guilty about it. Who wants that! Right?!

Handmade card using the Incredible Like You Stamp set and the Share What You Love DSP. Coffee and Cards.

The ladies chose which papers they wanted to use, and if I needed to cut into a 12 x 12 sheet for just one card front, guess what? We did!  It will all get used. One sheet can make 6 card fronts!

I took along the new Incredible Like You stamp set for the lovely sentiments and beautiful font, and some stitched squares of Whisper White cut out using the Stitched Shape Framelit Dies.
The DSP panel was glued onto the Whisper White card base, we stamped our sentiment onto the die cut and adhered it to the front using Dimensionals. We added a little bow from matching Bakers twine with a glue dot for the finishing touch.

So pretty aren't they! I hope they have inspired you to use up your patterned papers.

We have so much fun at Coffee and Cards. It's such a lovely group and today we were celebrating one of the ladies birthdays! They do lovely cakes here.

But we thought we would stay for lunch/brunch so we all chose either bacon, sausages, eggs or a combination in a sandwich.

We stayed for a bacon sandwich brunch to celebrate a birthday at Coffee and Cards

What a civilised way to celebrate her birthday😀

I hope you like the cards we made this week. We have a gorgeous selection of papers in the new Spring Summer and Saleabration catalogues. Do have a browse.

Incredible Like You - Welcome To My Team Cards!

Incredible Like You - Welcome To My Team

Welcome To My Team Cards - Incredible Like You!

I am so happy to have welcomed a new member to my team today. The current joining offer during Saleabration is too good to miss and I am so glad she took advantage of it. I love to send a welcome card out to each new team member with their welcome pack and I thought the new Incredible Like You stamp set was perfect for the job! My team name is Inkredibles and I hadn't realised the connection between the that and the name of the stamp set until right now 😂There are some gorgeous sentiments in this set that I can't wait to use but I needed something craft related so instead I picked out the "Love What You Do" stamp from the Love What You Do stamp set.

I used Lovely Lipstick ink to stamp the flowers, Granny Apple Green for the leaves and stems and Blueberry Bushel for the small buds. I stamped onto Whisper White and layered it onto Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel card. I have added some of the pretty Granny Apple Green Ribbon to finish it off.

Welcome To My Team Cards - Incredible Like You! Card inside

Such a simple but pretty card. I hope you like the bright colour combination. Not my usual at all, but I love it!

I am in the middle of making a few of these cards. I am working hard to grow my team and Saleabration is the perfect time to join. The offer is amazing and then of course there is the ongoing  20 - 20% discount, Saleabration and all the other perks that go alongside joining up.

Did you know that people join Stampin' Up for all sorts of reasons. Some just for themselves, some sell to family and crafty friends to fund their hobby and some do it as a business opportunity and earn an income, rewards and trips.  Indeed, most of the people who run it as a business will tell you that they started out as a "hobbyist" and they loved it so much it turned into a business. There really is something for everyone and you never know where it will lead to!

I love my team and am there to support them to do as much or as little as they want to. They all have different goals and I love that. We also have team meetings where we craft and chat and share inspiration. I have face book groups for them too and send out e mails, so it doesn't really matter where they all live. We connect. We go to events together too. There are lots of those in the Stampin' Up calendar. It really is a great crafty community to be a part of.

Theres a great sentiment in this stamp set that says "incredibly proud of you" That would be perfect to put on a card for one of my inkredible team when they reach one of their goals wouldn't it! That's making me chuckle now.

Have you seen the current joining offer?
It is awesome! Especially if you have a wishlist. Have you seen the new Spring/Summer Catalogue?
